Old Blogs
Splash! started in October 2003 with stories and events pertaining to the first half of my student life at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.
I spent my first year living in a hostel called Lister Hall Residence. Each floor consisted of 30 students, most of which whom are Caucasians. It was definitely a culture shock as all the students cared about was drinking and partying. Nevertheless, I had my share of fun. Also, I met with more south east asian friends along the way.
I moved out of Lister Hall in 2004, and settled at another university residence called HUB mall. This residence is like an apartment, and so I had to buy my own furniture (e.g. bed and study desk). I liked living here better as compared to the hostel, and my roommates were very friendly Caucasians. However, I had bad experiences with the Korean housemate, of which you can read the story at this blog.
I stopped writing at this blog in December 2005. It was all about getting a new space
Yes, I used to change sites and templates very often … but Splash! was my virtual sanctuary throughout my sad and happy times in this foreign land of independence.

La Musique is a continuation of Splash! starting December 2005. Actually, I don’t remember the reason for switching to a new space. Perhaps, I just wanted change and a new blog space address.
La Musique tells the story of the second half of my varsity life. I moved twice within HUB mall during the last two years. Near the end of 2004, I moved in to another apartment unit where two of my close girl friends lived. It was lots of fun times as we shared a common interest and culture. Everything was normal until another Korean housemate showed up. It was just unlucky or perhaps … I don’t know (I seem to have lots of uncomfortable events with Korean housemates).
However, we became more matured in mind as the years pass by … school work was constantly breathing down our necks, and towards the end … we survived it all. All I remember was time passed by so fast. The last few events that occurred were mostly graduation events or project finales.
To mark the end of my varsity journey … and the beginning of a new phase in life (the notorious working realm) … I left La Musique as another precious memory and began writing in Money is Everything. So is the World.
